Below-ground concrete walls and slabs are often exposed to ground moisture or hydrostatic pressure, while the structure can no longer be reached from the outside. In that case waterproofing is applied from the inside: the construction-joint reglet is filled with VANDEX CEMLINE MG 4 repair mortar, and the walls and slab are coated with VANDEX SUPER crystalline waterproofing.
What this solution is for
Internal waterproofing of new or existing below-ground concrete walls and slabs subject to ground moisture or hydrostatic pressure.

Materials used
- VANDEX SUPER – crystalline waterproofing applied to the internal surface of walls and slab.
- VANDEX CEMLINE MG 4 – fibre-reinforced waterproofing repair mortar for filling the construction-joint reglet.
Application steps
- Optional: break out a reglet (approx. 30 × 30 mm) along the construction joints with a hammer drill. Fill the cleaned reglet with VANDEX CEMLINE MG 4 so that it finishes flush with the internal surface.
- Apply two coats of VANDEX SUPER to the slab surface.
- Apply two coats of VANDEX SUPER to the interior wall surface.
Good to know
- Substrate adhesion strength must be above 1.5 N/mm².
